I am a delinquent blogger. My excuse is that pregnancy slows me down! I am 22 weeks along and starting to feel the aches and pains. It is difficult to carry a toddler around and it's getting tougher to bend and pick things up, do the bath, etc. And to think I'm only a little more than half way there. I had really forgotten about the bigness. Even for the second time it is outrageous to see how my body changes. I am grateful to have a great hubby who picks up the slack A LOT.
Fall activities have started up and I have been enjoying Wednesday a.m. Bible Study. I am in a great group with lots of friends and we are studying Revelation. Luke's childcare room faces the construction site for the new church building. The kids can see all the bulldozers, cranes, etc. When I ask him what he did for the past two hours, he simply replies, "TRUCKS!"
Luke and I are also taking a Kindermusik class. He really likes his music classes. In the summer we took Music Together classes, and I think I slightly prefer their format and the fact that their music is acoustic, not synthesized. I am doing Kindermusik this fall because I couldn't work the schedule out with Music Together. But the Kindermusik is really fun as well. Luke knows that CD is in my car and he requests it with much passion every time we are driving. He particularly likes the song about the carpenter's hammer and saw, and he says "Rap rap rap, see see" (saw). He is always very shy at the beginning of class, and by the end he is a total wild man.
We also have MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) every other Friday. It's a fun group of moms and kids.
I am working on baby sister's nursery. No real action yet, just planning and imagining! We have to move Logan the Lab out of her room--currently it is "Logan's room" where we keep his kennel. Logan will probably still need his kennel at night (he would otherwise wake us up with his pacing), so I guess the dog gets to sleep in the study now.
Other nuggets:
-Luke refers to himself as "Nuke," an apt moniker for our little unguided missle!
-He wakes up every morning asking for "Shashlles" (waffles, but he can't say those consonants yet!)
-He says "Eeeewww" for gross stuff, including dirty diapers
-He enjoys telling stories, such as Nonna-Kitty-Bite (my mom's cat "bit" him) and Dog-Bite-Ball (Logan punched a hole in his ball and ruined it). He will tell his stories to strangers and at seemingly random times.
-He has a keen sense of justice and gets very offended when the dog play fights with the cat. He yells "NONONO!!! Dog!"
I'll try to post some pictures soon!

I'm so glad to read about how you're doing! Glad you're back!
Chrys
What a great blog post. Awesome catch-up. Making up several times for being "delinquent," I'm sure. Glad hubby helps out my fair and beautiful cousin carrying the next fair and beautiful woman in la familia. The "Nuke" thing is GREAT...I hope it sticks. Seems like he came up with his own perfect nickname---couldn't have done any better. : ) Much love!
Kim, that's all so cool to hear. Y'all are doing a great job. I love you, sister!
