Michael and I just returned from our first vacation alone--no kids--since C was born. We went to a hotel in Cancun called Aqua. It re-opened in December (it was open for only a few months before the hurricane and then was basically rebuilt again. So it's brand new.) It is a really unique hotel with modern architecture, spa music, aromatherapy throughout the hotel, and the coolest pools. There were plenty of umbrellas and palapas so that I could work on my golden tan from the safety of the shade. The whole hotel is very uncluttered and relaxing. The spa and the exercise room are great. It was only at 20% occupancy and we enjoyed the quiet. I suspect the place will get busier as people find out about it. The weather was gorgeous, and we did very little (and we liked it that way!) We did enjoy a couples' massage--it was Michael's first time--he survived just fine. Don't tell him I told you about that, internet.

Gorgeous photos! Happy 6th Year Anniversary in a couple of days. Aqua looked amazing! We hope to make it back to Cancun someday in the future too!
