The crib bedding is ironed and in place! It looks really pretty. If it is a boy, we will incorporate more chocolate brown and blue. If a girl, we will add some pink! There is a little bit of each color in the design. The bassinet is assembled and awaiting an occupant. The other furniture (changing table and glider) will be moving down the hall from Caroline's room shortly. Caroline is potty trained as of mid-August, so she won't need her changer anymore! (Right now it still comes in handy to help me change her clothes, etc, when it is difficult to bend over and get up and down from the floor).
We attempted to potty train Caroline in June, but she clearly wasn't ready. I thought I would give her one more try in August at exactly age 2 1/2. She did great! This gave us a buffer of time before preschool starts again and before the baby comes. Both of my children have been easy to potty train. I am grateful for that! We went directly to underwear with each child/no pull-ups at our house! Caroline still has a night time diaper which is dry about half the time. A pretty good record, I think.
