The next time you see me I may look more like a human. I feel more like a human! Last night Luke slept through the night. . .really for the first time since he was 6 months old! What happened at 6 months?
Hawaii.
We took a great trip to Hawaii when he was 6 months old. Luke had been an awesome sleeper (7p-7a) since he was about 3 months old. Hawaii was beautiful, but the time zone shake-up was a little much for Luke. I started feeding him when he would scream at night (we were in a hotel! I was paranoid the other guests would hate us!) It wasn't really his fault-he didn't know whether it was day or night. When we came back, we never could shake the 4 a.m. feeding.
This Sunday I hit rock bottom. . .he was up at 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. screaming and berserk. . .this kid is over one year old now. . .I decided it was finally time to go cold turkey. Well, some friends convinced me that it was time to go cold turkey. I resolved not to go in and feed him! Two nights of some crying (and some earplugs). . .the third night he slept through! This was a hard decision, but after last night, I am sure it was a right decision.
Stay tuned and we'll see if it lasts!
