Celebrating Luke

Luke turned two on Saturday! He saw a cake like this at another party and was obsessed with it. I found him a similar one. When we placed it in front of him he immediately ran to get the new "sho big" (see below) to join the other trucks. Then he plucked all the trucks off and started licking them. He was able to blow out his candles, and I wasn't expecting that.
Presiding over the table full of tasty dinner treats:
A package from Mimi and PapPap:
It's a giant dumptruck! He was very excited about this:
A replacement metal version of his favorite backhoe, "sho big" (from Mom and Dad. Dad searched high and low for this one--the plastic one that is so dear to him is always falling apart):
It was a good day! Luke received some very generous gifts, as well as contributions toward a swingset.

Oh my goodness, all that food looks so good right now! :::tummy grumbles::: Glad you found a metal backhoe....I can see how plastic wouldn't be the best choice for the little man. Happy birthday to Luke.

Luke, you know how to party. Thanks for letting me play with your toys. Call me, and we'll schedule a time to play trains. When will you have your own cell phone?
