Luke's Christmas

Luke is a truck man, and this was a truck Christmas! The other night my brother and his fiancee came over for dinner. Feeling somewhat smug about my DAILY lessons about what Christmas is about (every day we talked about Jesus when we opened the advent calendar), I quizzed him.
"What does Christmas mean, Luke?"
"Celebrate," said Luke.
"What do we celebrate?"
"TRUCKS!"
We'll need to work more on the spiritual significance.

A highlight was building these Mega Bloks trucks with Uncle Robby. Luke has had an excavator from this set for some time, and it is sad and decrepit from much love. He now has many different pieces which can be assembled various ways. (He has many pieces that are like roofing tacks if you step on them in the dark!) Anyway, he is very creative with them and makes up names for his inventions. He makes "Jackhammer excavators, Concrete crusher dumptrucks, Flatbed mini loaders," and the like.

This was fun, although I was worthless in the process. I was just seeing how many lego pieces I could stack together and still have it standing up. : ) I am not a man--front loader, back loader? Whatever!
