Butterfly tent

We visited a butterfly exhibit in a local mall this afternoon. The festival benefits the Kiwanis club, and the volunteers were really helpful. We were each given a Q-tip with Gatorade on it to attract the butterflies. Most of them were resting on the net tent and I could reach up with my Q-tip and get them to crawl onto the tip. But, Aaah! I forgot the good camera. This iPhone shot was the best I got. Caroline actually enjoyed holding butterflies also, but I did not get a good photo of her. We saw one older boy who had collected about 10 butterflies and put them on his shirt! I was impressed that Luke held the butterfly. He has been really interested in butterflies because his class at school had some "pet" caterpillars this year and watched them change.
