Spring garden

Our yard is looking very happy and lush, thanks to all the recent rain. Please ignore the flower pots that used to have zinnias. Apparently I had not adequately controlled the snails before planting zinnias--they were rudely attacked! (I guess they are delicious). We will try again in a few weeks after the sluggo has a chance to cull the population! If you look on the right side of the fountain grass in the center, you will see a grey kitty.

One of my favorite plants each spring, St. John's Wort (hypericum). The yellow flowers are gorgeous in may.
Here is Simon's favorite nook from which to observe the world (under the fountain grass). I think the bonus is that the kids don't notice he's there and he is left in peace. Luke is very affectionate with the cats right now. He is gentle and sweet, but sometimes a kitty needs a break!
