Luke's first day in his own words

First we went to chapel and we sang a song I know. It was called All Things Bright and Beautiful. Chapel was shorter than opening chapel [the day before--an hour long], and that was a good thing. When you are in first grade you get a music book, but the Explorers don't get a music book because we can't read it yet. Then we took a walk around and saw everything [tour of campus]. We had music class, but we did not have a lot of time to play instruments today. Then we went to our room and did some homework [a lesson I suppose?]. We listened to a song called "Morning" which was all about when you wake up. I drew a picture of a sun and a bird's nest full of baby birds. The baby birds were just little dots but I know what they are. You are going to be impressed when you see my music book. Then we played on the sport court. I played cannonball with Collin and Andrew. That's where you throw balls at each other. We were not allowed to play tetherball because it was too muddy because it rained yesterday. Then we did some more homework. Then we had our snack and went on the playground. We chased people all around. We had lunch in our room because it was too hot to eat at the outside tables. When you get back from the playground or the sport court, you get a drink from your water bottle. You can also drink your water at lunch. We read a story called Princess and the Pea. It was all about a king and a princess and a pea. She kept feeling that pea, I don't know how she did that. We wrote our name. I already know how to do that. She wanted me to make a lower case "e." When Mrs. Barth says "Attention Please!" we say "Yes Ma'am!" I was there for seven hours and I never went to the bathroom. Well, I think maybe I went one time. You have to keep your shirt tucked in. Mrs. Barth doesn't mind if our shirt comes out when we are playing on the playground, but we need to tuck it back in when we get back to the classroom.

AAAhahaha. Luke is hilarious. What an awesome transcript of his first day. I think I also held my bladder when I first started going to school. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get my zipper back up. For Luke it's probably the shirt being tucked in?
