First day of Explorers

Luke's first day of Kindergarten finally arrived! Here he is with his backpack before we left home:

Here is how his desk looked when we arrived. He's ready to start working on his handwriting!


This is his whole class--10 kids. Caroline is already talking about getting one of the girls' uniforms. They are really cute.



Luke had a pretty easy time on the first day at drop-off. The second day, he was a little more unsure. We have the option to drop the kids off at carpool, but Luke isn't ready for that yet. He had a few tears as we separated at his classroom, and mid-morning his teacher emailed me to let me know he was fine. That's a nice touch! Here is the newsletter from his first week:
