Going to visit Mimi and Pap Pap

Luke carefully packed his Elmo rolling backpack. We had gone to the dollar store and selected some items that Caroline had not seen before, and Luke picked out one item also--a wheel excavator. I realized after we went through security at the airport that in the rush to get out the door, I had not even looked at what Luke had packed. In his bag: a forklift, the wheel excavator, a plastic square bin and two styrofoam cups. I didn't think much about the random items, thinking they were just childish treasures.
When we greeted Pap Pap at the airport, Luke showed him the contents of his suitcase. He explained that the bin and cups were for making sandcastles. Oh, that makes sense! At our California beach trip a couple of weeks ago we were using the hotel's plastic cups to dig sand. Now he thinks that's an essential part of the beach experience, so he packed a couple of cups for Myrtle Beach.Mimi and Pap Pap are Michael's dad and stepmom who live in Myrtle Beach, SC. We always have a fun and relaxing time here.
