View from the hotel

Here is a picture of the view taken with the good camera! The camera phone one didn't do it justice. We have been having a great time! The weather is just perfect and the surroundings are gorgeous. Luke is loving the beach and pool.

Yesterday, while Luke snoozed under Nonna's care, Michael and I went on a 10-mile HILLY bike ride tour with my brother Robby and his wife Ann. It was challenging but fun! I have not ever done a bike ride of that length (especially not with the hills) but was pleasantly surprised that my fitness level made it pretty manageable. I am sore today, but not too bad overall. This was child's play for my triathlete hubby, and he took to showing off by going offroad to go up the hills instead of taking the windy paved bike path. The scenery was amazing and the temperature and ocean breezes were refreshing.

Last night we had a delicious dinner at a restaurant called Bandera in Corona del Mar. We had intended to try a Mexican restaurant called Javier's, but since it had a two hour wait we went searching for plan B. When we found Bandera, my first reaction was that it reminded me of Houston's, at least in decor. It turns out that they are owned by the same parent company. Bandera was FABULOUS and I am hoping they will open one near our house soon!

Today we are recovering from the hard work of a large buffet breakfast and working up the resolve to make the trek to the beach again. The vacation life is hard, but someone's gotta do it.
