Diaper cakes

I have always had a certain kind of craftiness. My talent is not drawing, painting, or art, but I think it is related to the reason I became a dentist. If there are instructions, if there is a requirement of symmetry, if it is fine motor intensive--I like that kind of craft. As a kid I enjoyed needlework, all types of bead crafts, making bracelets, scrapbooking, etc. I seem to have little time for this stuff nowadays. And ironically, it is stressful to do crafts with my kids (need to work on that). Anyway, here are two diaper cakes that I made recently. One was for a friend and one was for my sister-in-law. What do you think?
Front view with scripture Psalm 126:3 "The Lord has done great things for us and we are filled with joy."
Back view of the same cake. This one was multicolored so I used a lot of baby supplies from her registry.
This one was for a pink and brown shower, so I decided it looked better with fewer baby supplies--clean and elegant.
They are made out of size 2 diapers (so that the mom doesn't need to take it apart right away.) Clothes used were in 6-12 month sizes (same reason). I had to use pampers swaddlers because they were the only ones that are plain white.

AWESOME IDEA! I may have to steal it shamelessly...I do like the cleaner one a bit better, but then again, I always prefer neat and tidy...
