The other day I fixed Caroline a little snack of soy nuts and fruit. Michael was around the kitchen and I went to do something in another room. I heard Caroline crying a little more insistently than usual. Somehow Michael figured out that Caroline had put a soy nut pretty high up in her nose. I grabbed some tweezers and cleaned them with alcohol. Michael, who always remains calm, smoothly extracted the nut while I steadied her head! I guess that his experience with pliers and orthodontic brackets came in handy in grabbing a small item with an instrument!
