The doll on the left is "Sara," my childhood doll. She is actually a Holly Hobbie "Amy" doll from the 70's. A daughter of my parents' friends gave her to me slightly used because I really loved her when I visited their house. As you can see, she is well-loved. She has survived time, dust, and even (my) nosebleeds! The shrinky dink necklace she is wearing was made by my Mom and says "Sara. I belong to Kim."
Caroline was showing an interest in my vintage doll. Through the wonders of ebay I found her a smaller version of Amy, also vintage 1970's. She was a lot cleaner but I still ran her through the washer because I wasn't sure where she had been. Luke calls them the Mommy Amy and the Baby Amy.

I still have my "Amy" too! I remember taking her everywhere. Glad you could mind a mini-version for Caroline!
really, REALLY cute. this made me laugh aloud: "The shrinky dink necklace she is wearing was made by my Mom and says 'Sara. I belong to Kim.'"
how cute that your mom made your doll a shrinky dink necklace!
