Vintage Brio
We were at a friend's house last night and their little boy had a Brio train set. I had totally forgotten until that moment that my mom had given us my brother's old Brio set. At the time, Luke was still too young to play with it. I set it aside in a closet and proceeded to get Luke the Thomas wooden railway because the system is much easier to find. I know that Brio still makes train sets that are really nice, but I had a hard time finding them when I was deciding what to get for Luke. These Brio trains from the 70's are sweet and are providing lots of independent play time this afternoon! They are a lot simpler in design than the Thomas trains, but the rails actually fit together.
Luke was a little concerned that one piece of track appears to have been attacked by one of our dogs (Jamie, Ginza, or Lacey? My money's on Ginza). Don't worry Robby and Ann--these can be hand-me-back-downs to future cousins, and I'm sure we will leave our own marks on them!

Awesome! Enjoy! We too inherited a set and have found bits on eBay for Christmas to "add-on". Hills & such.
