I can see!
I had LASIK surgery this morning! I have been quite uncomfortable in my contacts for some time despite the best efforts of my very excellent optometrist. We started talking about LASIK and I have been wanting to do this for a long time. I had to be at a point of being neither pregnant nor nursing, so we thought this was the time to move forward. At 6 hours post-surgery, I feel that I am seeing about as well as I did with contacts. I was warned that my vision may be less clear for days to weeks as my corneas heal. So far, I am pleased. . .I'll keep you updated.

AMAZING. i remember being driven home after LASIK and commenting all the way, "the leaves are so clear! the colors are so vibrant!" it really is miraculous.
i've already had it done twice b/c unfortunately my eyesight has gotten worse with each pregnancy. i'm wearing glasses now but i look forward to the day i can have LASIK done again b/c it's totally worth it. it was worth it for even the three or four years i went without contacts or glasses.
excited for you!!!
