R.I.P.

My iPhone took a swim today. Luke dropped it in the pool. He thought it was more efficient to shake the pool toys out of the pool bag directly into the water. . .and he got a bonus item to dive for. It's not looking good. I had a mirror image screen for awhile, but now it's just . . .dead

And now for the eulogy: I did not realize how much I had come to rely on you, iPhone. When I received you for Christmas, I was looking forward to a mobile calendar that was compatible with my desktop. You have come to mean much, much, more to me. I did not expect to need you so, but now I miss your ever-ready maps to get me where I need to go, email on the go. You taught me to text, and (despite my age) this week I even added a button to your home screen for Facebook. I will miss you, and I hope that sooner (rather than later) I will get one of your new friends THE IPHONE 3G!!!!!!!
