We went to "the lake" today--Grandma and Papa's house. I have so many great memories here. My grandparents have lived here since before I was born.
We drove down in the middle of the morning, spent some time outside, and enjoyed some taco soup prepared by "Gram" (that was my younger cousin Danielle's newer, cooler nickname for Grandma.)

Gram, my aunt Dana, and I had a baby shower to attend for Stacy (our hygienist in our office). While we drove over to the shower, Dad, Luke, Papa, and Dana's friend Mark spent a little time together. Papa has been recovering from a broken ankle, and it was great to see him. I think that Luke was mostly napping in his pack'n'play. He is a great sleeper and is usually adaptable to naps in strange places, provided he has his lovie (blankie) and a paci. Don't tell our doctor. . .we were supposed to be giving up that paci at a year. If pressed, I will tell him Luke's dad the orthodontist said it is ok!

Logan thinks that the lake is heaven on earth! He leaps off the dock and into the lake with gusto! Labradors have such a natural love and joy around water.

Wow...is that with the new camera? It takes great action shots. Is Gram wearing an animal print? She looks hot...and isn't "Gram" way cooler and befitting of her hipness? Or do you think it's too "lightweight." Muahaha. Where are the pictures of YOU at the lake? I heard the baybay shower was fun and that Edom is beautiful; wish I could have come. Logan is AWESOME...he really was going for it!! (the jumping shot was the action shot I was speaking of) Glad you had a nice time visiting the lake. It kind of makes me sad sometimes...all the memories and how nothing stays the same as it was when we were younger. You were so sweet to me when I was a little girl there at the lake. Hope Luke can enjoy the lake while we still have it! : ) Love you and great post!!! -Daniela, tu fan numero uno
Hey, I'm on the blog!
And the lake was perfect for boy and dog....
with no baby tears or inflamed Lab ears....
YES, it's seen some kids for years and years......
Thank you, Kim, for your visit and wonderful chicken casserole!
Love, Dana*
