New shoes

I bought Luke two pairs of these Preschoolians shoes. I kept hearing that flexible shoes are best for babies. I still have him in Robeez a lot of the time, but I wanted something a little sturdier for heavier outdoor use. I got him a pair of sneakers at Stride Rite, but he seems so clumsy in them--as if it's hard work to wear the stiffer shoes.

These sandals are from the Preschoolians I'm Walking Barefoot line.
Pros: they are a nice step up from Robeez. The soles are rubber, non-skid, and a little thicker. They also have a transparent window on the bottom so you can check fit and three sets of footbeds (narrow, medium, wide). Luke wears wide. They seem well-made.
Cons: You have to order online. (They will send you a fitting device, though). Their shipping is MUCH slower than promised. However, they sent me a free pair due to the delay. Overall, I am happy. I may order future pairs through zappos.com because I think the shipping may be faster.

Hi - I found your blog through Chrys's blog. I looked at the preschoolians and am considering them once my child can walk. Just wanted to let you know you can buy them at that nature store called Whole Earth I think - it's off of Mockingbird.

Endorsement, anyone? They shouild pay you for that blog.

Whole Earth is a GREAT store...you definitely should go there for more Preschoolians shoes or just for cool stuff. It's probably my favorite store ever.
