Mother's Day

We had a Mother's Day celebration at our house this year. This is one of my first attempts at hosting a family holiday, and I think it went well! Here is Luke with Grandma Vicki and Nonna Leith. (Luke was objecting to being restrained for even a minute.) These wonderful grandmothers are a very important part of Luke's life. He gets to go to Nonna's house on Tuesdays and Grandma's house on Thursdays (while I work 9-3:30). The boy has a lot of fun. . .and I think they do too! Thank you, Mom and Vicki, for helping me to mother Luke well while still maintaining my skills as a DDS.

We sat outside in our newly re-landscaped (by us!) yard, which is looking nice. The weather was just right once the sun went below the trees.
We had some cilantro turkey burgers (grilled by my fabulous hubby), spinach strawberry salad, and potato casserole. For dessert: key lime cheesecake! Luke discovers he LIKES key lime cheesecake:
Luke and Logan had some fun in the empty baby pool. Here he is playing with Uncle Josh's cell phone, which was very entertaining. You would think this kid was a standup comedian by watching the way the family responds to his every move! I wish I had a better shot of the way he holds a phone behind his head (you can kind of see it in the bottom photo). It's hilarious.

Cilantro turkey burgers and keylime cheesecake? That sounds sooooo good....especially after the tuna helper I just ate (sick)--I was desperate. : ) The yard looks great!
